Summary of Today’s Activities:
Normal Tuesday Plannning.
PE (5th, long) - When it was our time to take the court, we began with our new exercise routine. However, since it is very new, I had to walk them through it again. It took about 30 minutes for the students to get acquainted with the routine once again, but I made it very clear that they are wasting their activity time when I have to stop and wait for them to listen and cooperate. When it was time to start with their lessons, I had to adjust to their coach's practice time to make sure we had enough time at the end to play. At the end of class, they had about 10 minutes to play - but hopefully they won't waste more time than needed for next lesson.
PE Middle (7th) - Daily exercises, yay! After the warm-up, I divided up the large group by gender and age level into 2 different teams. Today's activity was capture the flag, but with an emphasis on honesty! Everything went smoothly today!
Reflections of Today's Activities:
I've gathered that my Upper School PE class does not enjoy soccer and they are purposely extending exercises so they won't have to play as long. Boys can be sneaky, but I finally figured it out! I'm not exactly sure how to handle it at the moment, but we are almost done with soccer and that is a relief for my sake!
